Dr. Ara is the PGA Tour Golf Doctor, Functional Sports Medicine Expert and Chief Medical Analyst at NBC’s Golf Channel.

He is a pioneer in the field of High Performance Medicine and specializes in the five pillars of health (chronic inflammation, hormonal imbalance, detoxification, brain function, deep sleep). He combines the practice of allopathic medicine, functional medicine and Ayurveda, to bring about rapid and persistent change in health.


Dr. Ara is the personal physician on the PGA Tour of America, treating an A-list roster that includes Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Gary Woodland, Vijay Singh, Hunter Mahan, Anna Norqvist and Julieta Granada. He's also a practicing ER Physician, Chief Wellness Officer for Florida Emergency Physicians and an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at the University of Central Florida Medical School. Earlier in his career, Dr. Ara was a physician on the European Tour and the European Ryder Cup Teams.
