Common Questions – NAD+ Restoration Clinic

1Q: What is BrainRefuel?
A: A combination of intravenous NAD+ with a FastVitaminIV injection. The use of an IV bypasses the digestive system, allowing maximal absorption of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants.

BrainRefuel delivers a concentrated form of NAD+ faster than the typical 6-8 hour span to make marked changes in the mitochondrion and increase your NAD+/NADH ratio.

During NAD treatment, your body undergoes a dramatic process called mitochondrial fission, during which dysfunctional mitochondria are replaced.
2Q: What is NAD+?
A: NAD+ is a naturally occurring molecular compound found in every living cell that plays a key role in determining how rapidly our cells age. You can learn more in our ACADEMIA section.
3Q: Are NAD+ injections safe?
A: High doses of NAD+ have been administered intravenously since the 1950s and there has never been an adverse reaction.
4Q: Does it hurt?
A: You can expect to feel a small prick and then a slight cooling up your arm. The moment hurts less than most vaccinations and our Nurse Practitioners are expert injectors. They are trained to minimize any insertion pain with special tactics brought on by years of experience.

The rest of the treatment you sit comfortably in a reclining chair. There should be no pain associated with treatment and you are closely monitored.

IV therapy is a low-risk procedure used by doctors, nurses & paramedics to rehydrate the body intravascularly, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract. It’s the fastest, most efficient delivery method to distribute vital fluids & nutrients throughout your body.
5Q: Are there side effects?
A: Side effects rarely happen if at all. If they do they are usually minor and short lived. Bruising or bleeding at IV site, warming or cooling sensation in arm, chest or stomach. Our licensed staff are trained to manage all side effects that may occur.
6Q: Is it natural?
A: Yes. All of our product offerings and treatments are natural, non-toxic, pharmaceutical grade and tested for safety and efficacy in the United States at a 503B laboratory.
7Q: How much NAD+ do you receive with BrainRefuel?
A: You receive 750 mg of 100% pure Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide per treatment in a proprietary method, which is slow dripped at a rate most comfortable for you.
8Q: Can you get more than one treatment a day?
A: One high dose treatment per day is optimal for your cells.
9Q: How long does it take?
A: Your first treatment may last 2-3 hours and your next, one hour. This cadence may also fluctuate from day to day. It’s important to remember that it’s not a race, but it’s safe to push it faster.
10Q: What is a “Loading Dose” and how many should I sign up for?
A: The optimal first dose (Loading Dose) is 4-10 consecutive treatments. If you only have time to receive 3 treatments, you will also receive a benefit.

The effects are long-lasting and after the initial Loading Dose, you enter the maintenance phase. Most clients sign up for a 5-day Loading Dose and return for a weekly or monthly boost.

Supplements from ALIVE BY NATURE – such as their NMN or NAD+ - are ideal to take prior to receiving your first Loading Dose and meant to be incorporated into your life routine. Restoration Clinic clients receive 15% off supplements from ALIVE BY NATURE.

We recommend a Loading Dose a few times per year for superlative results.
11Q: How many people can receive treatment at once?
Q: How many people can receive treatment at once?
12Q: What are some of the main benefits?
A: NAD+ IV infusion grew up in the addiction medicine space as an effective and non-toxic therapeutic intervention. It has helped thousands of people kick their addiction to opiates, alcohol and other chemical substances.

Scientists investigating brain health and longevity found that NAD+ is an essential coenzyme that determines how fast we age and the quality of our lifespan.

Studies have found replenishing cellular levels of NAD+ has powerful neuroprotective qualities, repairs DNA, reduces inflammation and turns on enzymes that slow the aging process.
13Q: Are you accepting patients addicted to drugs?
A: The Restoration Clinic is a sports performance, wellness and physical rehabilitation center.

While most of our patients are looking to amplify their health and wellness, improve their sport performance or rewind the biological clock, we are also accepting those with alcohol, opioid or benzodiazepine dependence. Our partners at Koniver Wellness in Charleston, South Carolina are more experienced with helping people achieve success with other drug addictions and we encourage you to reach out to them if you have this need.

A: Our Medical Director may consult with you over the phone if you request and goes over your medical records prior to treatment. He is not always available due to his obligations as an E.R. doctor.
