Does NMN impact your cholesterol?

My family is burdened with a hereditary high level of cholesterol. It doesn't matter if we eat and exercise right, our cholesterol is always high. I was just put on a "light" statin dosage, but I'm very curious if others here have experience with how NMN impacts your cholesterol? ... If there is any...

Re: Nmn beginner questions

Higher dose when not fasting, as fasting boosts NAD for "free" so I take less NMN on the days I eat less food which also saves money :). I also I try to not to have any supplements when not eating to give my liver a total break. I am in 2 minds on the last part, David Sinclair thinks that fasting a...

Re: NMN Dosage

I don't know if there has been any focus here on this study from 2018, that links an increased risk of lung cancer with high levels of B12 (regardless of whether you were a smoker or not). It received attention here in Norway, due to this article (unfortunately in Norwegian). It reduced the amount o...

Re: Nmn beginner questions

Agree, go the sublingual route if you can and at your age you could consider reducing your dose on NMN a little (save some money as well). I am 52yo and powering with .375 (fasting day) to .625 per day max of NMN with a mix of sublingual and liposomal ABN versions. Do you take .625 on non-fasting d...

Re: A few questions on NMN and Resveratrol

The main difference between resveratrol and trans resveratrol is that the resveratrol is the general product name of a dietary supplement containing polyphenols, which act as antioxidants, whereas trans-resveratrol is the active ingredient found in the resveratrol supplement. So make sure that the ...

Re: Optimal uptake?

Currently, I do have a bit of NMN sublingually first thing in the morning, but again take the bulk of it at lunchtime. Having experimented a bit over taking all the NMN in one hit first thing or spreading it out, I have to say that I haven't noticed any difference one way or the other, but again I'...

Re: Optimal uptake?

The amount you are considering for NMN sounds about right. If you are planning to take it throughout the day, wisdom in this forum is to avoid it after dinner (supper) as it has been known to affect dreams/sleep a bit. I started at 250 per day and ended up at 500, with the occasional 1-2 day break....

Optimal uptake?

I just got my first shipment of NMN (240 ct SL Tablets) along with some Resveratrol. The question I’m posing, which I’m sure has been asked and answered before on this forum ( but I’m proving inept at finding) is: How do you ensure optimal uptake of MNM (and Resveratrol)? What do you take it with (e...

Re: NMN and your age

In tune with what you're saying, at 43, should I aim for around 500mg?
(As stated in another thread, a rough chart over what's recommended for different age groups would be helpful for those of us just starting out, even if it was just a guideline)
