Interesting chart of sensescent cells by age

Post by rhett » Sat Feb 08, 2020 5:30 pm

Came across this chart on twitter showing accumulation of senescent cells by age:

https://twitter.com/Mangan150/status/12 ... 2145010690

The black line is human mortality, the red line is senescent cell accumulation. A few super interesting things:

1. They match almost exactly
2. From data start at 20 years to about 40 years, senescent cell levels seem relatively flat. Then levels begin a a fairly dramatic rise that continues until data end.

This suggests to me a good rationale for starting senolytics (and maybe even weekly rapamycin) around age 40.

Thanks for the chart. I had not seen this before but you are correct that there seems to be a parallel. Senolytics may offer an answer

So basically as soon as the average human stops having children.

I have known about extremely large families where the mother had children into her forties and lived into their late 90s
Taking:
Liposomal Curcumin / Resveratrol
NMN 500mg
Melatonin 1mg (am)
Blueberry extract 1g
Berberine 250mg
Vitamin E tocotrienols 50 mg
Astragalus 500 mg
Methyl B12 5000 mcg 3x/week
Methyl Folate 1000 mcg 1-3/week
