I now follow most of his recommendations. In addition, I take a Vitacost Probiotic of 10 live Strains/20 Billion microorganisms for Gut Flora. That sets the stage for better digestion, improved energy release to NMN.
For breakfast, it's a big bowl of a medley of fresh fruit. Just before morning play, I add 250 mg NAD+ powder under the tongue for a synergistic boost of NMN/NAD+. This immediately provides a surge of energy to play for three hours at a higher level, providing the benefits of play mentioned earlier. After play I follow Prof. Longo's nutritional plan of one big meal of the day, with nothing after 4PM. Intermediate fasting for 15 hours until my breakfast fruit, now comes easily, with no sense of deprivation. On Sunday, anything goes, in moderation, no drugs or stimulants.

Valter Longo is no nutritionist, no "Master nutritionist" (I don´t know what that is) or medical doctor but he´s a VERY knowledgeable biologist, researcher, and professor of gerontology. I know they are friends but they aren´t co-researchers and they haven´t written anything together as of this writing. As a clinical dietitian, I highly recommend his book and fasting practices.
Valter Longo and Sinclair agree on a lot but while Sinclair wants to use small molecules (metformin, aspirin, resveratrol, and NMN) to achieve health and longevity, Longo prefers to use only fasting and exercise (at this stage) to activate our longevity genes. He is concerned with what other things we may affect by using metformin and rapamycin to block nutrient-sensing pathways. When I asked him about NAD-precursors in a live Q & A he had on Facebook he simply referred to Sinclair.
Activating coordinated billion-year-old ancient survival programs by starving, for example, is hard to replicate with molecules. I think we will use both in the future.
