Astaxanthin and skin protection and repair

Post by smokinjoe » Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:19 pm

I think Astaxanthin already has a good reputation for mitochondrial repair and protection.

This series of studies looked at the protection and repair of skin from various injuries, including UV radiation, tumor formation, and the collagen matrix.

I forget why i first ordered this stuff. It seemed like part of the life extension family.

Right now i would like to see hard evidence or revisit it

I still include Astaxanthin in my daily regimen with extra top up as it is included in the ABS Optimizer Series which I also take daily.

Nice.

I don't know if it gets added to the telomere list, but I guess it can be considered a life-extender.

Well, maybe mitochondrial DNA integrity is as important as nuclear DNA.

I have quite the supply for telomeres, so I guess I will get some of this again.

I need to try to take this stuff with food. I assume taking with fatty foods is best, and carbohydrates a close second.

The new Renue Skin serum has Apocynin, which is also supposed to be very good for skin and hair.

It is a fairly new additive.

I think it is a great supplement and I guess that’s why ABS include it in their Optimizer Series.
